The Unseen Power of a Mother’s Love

I witnessed a beautiful moment that made me recall my mum's affection in the midst of chaos.
I was on a metro train, which was jam-packed. The train stopped at a station where passengers were entering and exiting, and then the doors slowly started closing. Suddenly, a woman tried to enter (by running) through the almost closed doors. She wasn't alone; she had a little baby girl in her arms, a heavy baggage in the other arm, and a backpack.

She had no place to sit, so a fellow passenger kindly offered her a seat. I asked if I could hold the baby while the other passenger gently helped her unload the baggage from her shoulder. She settled down in total tiredness, thanking him, and then she held her baby with a smile on her face. Despite losing all her energy in this marathon, she opened her bag to feed her baby with water— instead of sipping water for herself.

This caught my attention, and I understood why a mother's love is so selfless. The baby wasn’t crying through all of this; it was the mother who was utterly exhausted. She assumed that the thirst caused by her tiredness could also be felt by her baby, so she fed her instead. How can this unconditional love overflow from their hearts? I couldn’t fathom it.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the seamlessly working mothers.

  1. I think it's a mother's greatest feeling which is otherwise called as intuition I think.
